Saratoga Restaurant and Hotel information
Steve Barnes of the Times Union has been paying extra-close attention to Saratoga restaurant information this week. There are three recent posts on his Table Hopping blog regarding Saratoga restaurants that you may find interesting. One is regarding a new restaurant opening at the Fish Creek Marina, another is about The Lodge reopening, and the third is about Bruno's having a new owner and is open. Also, "The Buzz Business News" blog is reporting that the new Hampton Inn Hotel & Suites will open Monday. Finally, this pizza place on Broadway better have damn good pie for all the signs, blog entries, and news articles I have been reading on it. Kind of a ridiculous amount of hype for a pizzeria that hasn't served one slice yet - I guess that's what 3 years of unmet promises will bring.
The new pizza place looks nice. It's called "Pizza on Broadway".
Many items on the menu (which I picked up in front of the place today) are named after Broadway shows. Cute.
They have a website, but it's not up and running yet.
The sign in the window says they're opening Monday.
Here's a story from the Saratogian:

I'm sure I'll check it out at some point.

Thanks Ellen - I guess with all the buildup I'll have to give it a try. I'm still looking for great pizza in Saratoga and have yet to find it. I'll give Inferno a try also.

I bet Saratoga has better pizza than Dunkirk. When the choice comes down to Pizza Hut or Dominoes, as the best pizza in town... you might as well buy frozen. Glad to see you posting again. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
