Thanks go out to Gabe Anderson, AKA Blogmaster G, for commenting on my post from last week about Madame Jumel's mansion being up for sale. He linked a 2005 post from his site about the house which also copied and linked a New York Times article reporting about the home being for sale in 2005 and some of Madame Jumel's history. Interesting stuff.
Of course, that Blogmaster G posting was before Gabe changed it to solely a running chronology blog. C'mon Gabe, whatever happened to the restaurant reviews we loved? Jen can't you talk some sense into him? I may be your friend but I will still call you out on here for that. I really enjoyed your reviews from a few years ago - especially when you wrote a letter to Chez Sophie outlining your unsatisfactory experience there and the poor response you got in reply - then the attention it got on Steve Barnes Table Hopping blog. Good stuff!
Heh heh. Thanks for the shout-out, Dan, and the trip down memory lane! Thanks, too, for the encouragement to diversify my blog again... I'd probably gain back a few readers who are interested in things besides running. :)
