The Alloveralbany blog has a recurring post called "Craig and his wonderful list" where they show an Albany area Craig's list ad that is cool, unusual, or downright freaky, which of course creates fertile ground for discussion. I need to start doing that here in Saratoga Springs because we have our share of noteworthy Craig's list ads - namely this one below that Kyle York kindly alerted me to for Duo Modern Japanese Cuisine and Lounge.

Open interviews? I'm there, baby. Damn I can do the jitterbug, funky chicken, Hokey Pokey, YMCA, and, given enough beer at a wedding, a lame attempt at the electric slide where I display the grace of a middle linebacker and screw the whole operation up. And "Dress to Impress" means I'll wear my newest relaxed fit Levis (I've upgraded from the Wrangler Huskies) and my extra starch pressed Oxford. I am just what they are looking for!!
OK, seriously. I was in Montreal several years back and was in a club where two or three dancers, employed by the establishment, got up on platforms placed between the booths and started dancing to the music in a sleeky sort of way. They weren't scantily clad, but those form fitting dresses they had on sure were sexy. Let me be clear it wasn't strip club dancing - the dancing had an artistic element to it and it gave the place a classy, upscale, and modern metropolitan club sort of a feel. It just worked, and I would guess Duo's owner Wilfred Shang, who has spent many years in New York City, is planning on doing something similar. I've liked this guy's vision since day one, and I bet by summer the place is a go-to place for many people either looking for a great dinner or a classy lounge atmosphere - complete with a few sleeky dancers.
