If you want to know what I think of Big Apple Pizza, the new place in the former Hot Dog Charlie's on Caroline Street, I'll let Homer Simpson be my spokesman. Just replace the word "team" with "pizza" and you'll get an accurate description in the video below.
Any questions? And this post wouldn't be complete if I didn't give D'Andrea's an apology for cheating on them in my late night binge eating. "Dear D'Andrea's - I complain about your sweet crust, but when I'm drinking beer I crave it. I am sorry I tried your new (and higher priced) competition, but rest assured, it was tasteless and awful and I won't abandon you again (unless of course I'm in the mood for a doughboy). Sincerely, Funsaratoga Dan."
As someone with a deep-seated love of New York-style pizza, your review is enough for me to steer well clear. My question is, haven't you tried Amore Italy yet?

Well Mike I haven't tried that but want to -thanks for commenting but I would try Big Apple yourself - I am peculiar about my pizza likes and dislikes so that review was subjective based on my preferences so perhaps others would like it.

Dan,
Just what saratoga needs another pizza joint an apparently a crappy one

yea Frank it reminds me of that place near Club Shadow that sells...I have no idea what food they sell but it's clear to me they're just offering quick hits for the late-night drunks. Give D'Andreas and Esperanto some credit, they've been around for a while and even if you don't like their products, they are distinctive items and both places have been successful for years.
